This Bloomsbury mews house needs to function as a family home and an art gallery. The clients’ love of purity and simplicity inspired an honest, tactile and light-filled design.
The ground floor is the main reception area for clients of the gallery. The spacious master suite takes up the back of the ground floor.
A large table, comfortable chairs and fan-inspired wall create a gallery environment.
Separated by a WC and coat closet, a formal living room acts as a comfortable space for the family to relax, or a more formal extension of the gallery when needed.
The first floor of the house is the main living space, with a large kitchen and dining area, and integrated crafts room for the creative family. Soft materials and colours on the floors, walls and kitchen create a natural atmosphere.
The second floor holds a third bedroom and cozy library, which acts as a guest room and extends to a rooftop patio.
This section shows the house behind the front facade. Two levels, varying ceiling heights and open and secluded spaces can be seen.
Here all three levels can be seen. Large windows offer great light throughout the house.
